The oak wood Duc de Penthièvre bench
Our oak wood Duc de Penthievre benches are produced under the exclusive “Château de Versailles” license. They were redesigned by Pierre-André Lablaude who reworked the original 17th and 18th centuries models after historical iconography in order to decorate the park of Versailles and the Trianon gardens.
Jardins du Roi Soleil is the official Château de Versailles supplier and offers to all garden lovers the reissue of exclusive, authentic and timeless furniture, inspired by the French way of life.
Our solid French oak wood Marie-Antoinette benches are entirely handcrafted in France.
Sizes
Our Versailles Duc de Penthièvre oak wood benches are available in three sizes in order to accommodate two, three or four persons. They respectively measure 4 feet (about 124 cm), 1 fathom (about 193 cm) and 1 fathom 2 feet (about 250 cm).
Colours
The oak wood Duc de Penthievre bench is available in twelve colours. Aficionados can pick the “Versailles” green or select any colour of our range – Almond, Olive, Pigeon, Ivory, etc…. The three layers finishes are handpainted.
Option
We also offer the Duc de Penthièvre bench in a curved format. The arc of a circle formed by the bench allows comfortable sitting and is particularly flattering to the gardens and houses’ architecture.

Manufacturing, packaging, delivery
The manufacturing, conditioning and packaging of the fretted balusters oak wood Duc de Penthievre « Château de Versailles » benches are entirely made in France.
The wood comes from oak trees from the Centre and Burgundy French regions, shaped and painted in our workshops.
All the elements receive a primer layer before assembly. The assembly is then exclusively made traditionally in tenons, mortises and dowels.
For European shipments, the Penthievre bench is placed on a wooden pallet and packed in a protective cardboard box. For all other shipments, the product is placed on a wooden pallet and packed in a wooden crate.
