The famous citrus planter is an adaptation of the model created by André Le Nôtre around 1670. Today, nearly 1,500 such citrus planters are used by the gardeners of the Orangerie at the Château de Versailles as real horticultural tools combining functionality and expertise.
Developed in close collaboration with the Château de Versailles’ gardeners, the planter has progressively benefited from technical improvements that enhance its quality and durability for all purchasers. Often imitated but never equaled, this product remains a benchmark for the cultivation and display of plants.
Following the re-edition of the citrus planter, the brand expanded into garden furniture and ornamentation.
Les Jardins du Roi Soleil produce three bench models under a brand license from the Public Establishment of the Château de Versailles. These benches can be found along the Pièce d’eau des Suisses in Marie Antoinette’s gardens and in the Hameau de la reine.
Les Jardins du Roi Soleil produce two models of bronze vases, created by Claude Ballin, which can be found on the southern and northern flowerbeds in front of the castle under a trademark license from the Public Establishment of the Chateau de Versailles, and a model of stone vase which adorns the path leading up to the water parterre.
