Now is the time of year for maintenance in parks and gardens throughout the Northern hemisphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pre-winter break is ideal for planting, replanting, and caring for plants. The heat is finally over and, as a general rule, temperatures haven\u2019t dropped to freezing yet. And the cool weather allows plants to get their new roots ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For trees planted in boxes, it is also a good time to check up on the condition of the roots and increase the size of the orange-tree boxes, if need be.
